Information Exchange- Obtaining information on issues around the lake & the Severn Rivers
SLA Newsletter- Published and distributed twice a year
SLA Website - Provides current information, photos of our events and links to other information
Social Events - Picnic, Fishing derby, Family Regatta, Golf Tournament
Annual General Meeting - A chance to discuss issues, meet Councillors from Severn and Gravenhurst and discuss issues with general membership
Boating Safety - Markers are positioned around the lake by SLA, advising boaters of dangerous areas. We also work in conjunction with OPP on boating safety issues
Water Quality Testing - SLA conducts water sample tests with results available to members
Trent Severn System Information & Bulletins
FOCA – SLA is a member of the Federation of Ontario Cottagers’ Associations which keeps us informed on key issues of importance to cottagers and waterfront property owners
Lake Development - Updates and Information
Environmental Advocacy - Issues include water levels, fish habit, and promotion of sound and waterfront stewardship principles
Township of Severn Issues and Township of Gravenhurst Issues
